Statistics from the services offered by the above health centers for the Financial Year 2017-2018 are shown below;

a) Deliveries:

In the Financial Year 2017-2018, Mukono Municipality had a total of 9398 deliveries (newly born babies) as summarized in the table below;

b) Admissions:

In the Financial Year 2017-2018, Mukono Municipality had a total of 24010 patients admitted

c) Patients attended to:

In the Financial Year 2017-2018, Mukono Municipality had a total of 142516 patients attended to

d) Malaria cases handled:

In the Financial Year 2017-2018, Mukono Municipality had a total of 24985 malaria patients attended to

e) Antenatal Care (ANC)

In the Financial Year 2017-2018, Mukono Municipality had a total of 8950 Antenatal Care cases attended to

f) Immunization

In the Financial Year 2017-2018, Mukono Municipality had the following immunization statistics. (N.B the statistics here only cover BCG and DPT-HepB+Hib3 vaccines)

Health Department
The unit facilitates and provides support to ensuring health and productivity citizens; and a clean, habitable and sustainable community for the municipality. The unit guides the municipality on the efficient management of public health and the environment.
To institute frameworks to proactively research and stem the occurrence and spread of communicable, acute and chronic diseases; foster health equity and nurture a healthy, conducive and sustainable community and environment.
Develop, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the municipality Public Health Legislation; and institute frameworks and standards to ensure the promotion of health and wellbeing of the community.
Plan, conduct research, develop and monitor the implementation of strategies on epidemiology and disease control including emergency management, vaccination/immunization, testing treatment and health impact assessment surveys.
Plan, set benchmarks and monitor the implementation of health and wellbeing promotion through periodic inspections and intensive health education.
Plan and monitor the provision of efficient and appropriate health screening and treatment services at all the municipality Maternal, Child Health and Medical Health Centers.
Plan, and monitor the implementation of the Environmental and municipality Ambience Management through the Water, Sewerage & Sanitation, Waste, Parklands, and Cemeteries Inspection and Management
